Opening Scripture

15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Ephesians 1:15-23 NIV

Songs:

Jesus, what a beautiful name
Son of God, Son of Man
Lamb that was slain
Joy and place, strength and hope
Grace that blow all fear away
Jesus, what a beautiful name

Jesus, what a beautiful name
Truth revealed, my future sealed
Healed my pain
Love and freedom, life and warmth
Grace that blows all fear away
Jesus, what a beautiful name

Jesus, what a beautiful name
Rescued my soul, my stromghold
Lifts me from shame
Forgiveness, security, power and love
Grace that blows all fear away
Jesus, what a beautiful name

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord,
Holy is the Lord God almighty.
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord,
Holy is the Lord God almighty.
Who was, and is, and is to come,
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord.

Worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lord,
Worthy is the Lord God almighty.
Worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lord,
Worthy is the Lord God almighty.
Who was, and is, and is to come,
Worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lord.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus is the Lord,
Jesus is the Lord God almighty.
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus is the Lord,
Jesus is the Lord God almighty.
Who was, and is, and is to come,
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus is the Lord.

Glory, glory, glory to the Lord,
Glory to the Lord God almighty.
Glory, glory, glory to the Lord,
Glory to the Lord God almighty.
Who was, and is, and is to come,
Glory, glory, glory to the Lord.

Ideas for prayer

Please pray for:

    • The government as they reveal the next steps of the plan to slowly bring the country out of lockdown.
    • All those you know personally who have contracted the coronavirus and for their families.
    • The country as we maintain patience during this difficult time.
    • Those working and living in residential care homes at this time.
    • The veterans who served during the 2nd world war and those who serve in the armed forces today.

Give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy in this country, even during this time of lockdown.

Readings and Sermons

Song:

Faithful one, so unchanging
Ageless one, you?re my rock of peace
Lord of all I depend on you
I call out to you, again and again
I call out to you, again and again

You are my rock in times of trouble
You lift me up when I fall down
All through the storm
Your love is, the anchor
My hope is in You alone
